![]() We've just had a vote around the office between these choices, just interested to know what you guys reckon:
George Washington Sir Percy Teofilo Ouija Board Pride Deep Impact Young Mick After much consideration I plumped for Pride (although, I'll let you know, she didn't win!).

![]() I think the most visually impressive was George Washington and i really liked him, but the form of his wins hasn't been the best.
I also loved Teofilo, and think he will be a superstar this year, but again maybe his form doesn't look the best though and you can't really vote for a 2yo in a European horse of the year contest. Sir Percy was overall disappointing, his derby win has proved to be quite weak. Deep Impact, im not too keen on this horse, sure he can do it in Japan (where he starts odds on FAV for all of his races, so is expected to win easy) but just wasn't good enough in the Arc and think he would have struggled in the top european races if he had been around all year. Young Mick was a fantastic horse for the racing community, transformed from maiden claimers to group races, but i think for a European Horse of the year title, you need to be top class. So, im left with Ouija Board and Pride, two gallant mares........... i think Pride was the better mare this year, she would have won the Arc with a clear run and her win in the champion stakes was nothing short of brilliant...... Ouija Board wouldnt be far behind her and i find it hard to split them........ so, Pride gets my vote. |
