Question College Bowl picks part 1 - the "Crap Bowls"

32 Bowl games = too much!
Here my selections for the first set of games or as I dubbed "Crap Bowls"
Today through next Tuesday the 26th :

TCU over N. ILLINOIS -12 "W"
BYU over OREGON -3.5 "W"
TROY ST. over RICE +5 "W"
E.CAROLINA over S.FLORIDA +4
NEW MEXICO over SAN JOSE ST. -3.5 (a home game for N.M.!)
TULSA over UTAH +1.5
HAWAII (another home game) over ARIZONA ST. -8
C.MICHIGAN ST. over MID TENN ST. -10.5 (my god...this is a bowl game?)

Are these eight games really necessary?

The only team of real interest here is East Carolina, done well with them this year.

Any thoughts from the rest of you guys, about THESE games!

HHH: I think Oregon(if healthy) could use the 3pt but could win outright. Also..Hawaii didn't look that good the last time they played, and ASU has won 4 straight(against Cal,Oregon,Arizona and one other)They have some good players there and could really pull together now that the coaching sich is clear. In addition..I think I took Rice and the pts. I have this one and BowlMania going and I'm already tired of thinking about it,lol! Good luck,my man! btw college sports is the blackhole for money,so this is payback!

I'm no longer falling into College Football's system of making me think these games are somehow important because they are the something.com Bowl. Give me a playoff system and I'll give you my viewership and gambling dollars back.

I doubt that the bowls systems founding fathers had Rice/Troy in mind when set up the original bowls

No he's mad at me for making a crack at the academic standards for football players at USC. Dixie had Bobby Frankel call up Jerry Glanville so he would leave the tickets that he usually leaves for Elvis for me because even a dead guy would pass this one. I actually have the wife convinced this is a BIG game in case I actually go. Wont she be in for a big suprise?

So far this one has been fun for me!

We have the who care bowl games until New Years day. My name for the two bowl games between the BCS games and the Championship game is the "who gives a **** bowl games" too many sub par teams getting a bowl games turns me off from watching college football.

i also want a playoff system.
these games are important to the Programs themselves as recruiting tools, "see we went o a bowl game".
MOST of all they are important for the 3 WEEKS of practice !
