The place that has Charlie Brown Christmas trees in front of the tote board all year long. Got to love it.

Default What race do folks think is involved??

As the whirl around Houghton becomes evident I want to ask what race is likely involved at Great Lakes that was cashed at Delaware Park.????

The race, or races, involved are not known...at least outside of the investigation.

I told you guys i kinda of know what goes on up here at GLD but don't know enough of facts from fiction to be creditable. All I know is there have been rumors over the few years I've been around GLD adoout race fixing. I remember a jockey trying to cash a ticket with a $120 winner with a straight tri behind it and got caught year before last.

They tried to cash the ticket themself? If that was the case, the jock should be banned for life AND castrated, because people like this do not need to be reproducing. Why the hell would he (or she, I guess), try to cash the ticket themself?

I can't read the DRF article, can someone fill me in better. I live 5 minutes away from GLD and bet their Live Card all summer long. This sounds like it is some serious bullsh1t!

I can't remember the Kids name but he had his brother try and cash it. We was then seen signing for it then giving his brother the money. It was a dime super which .10 cents took the whole thing. It also involved the Gorhams horse who won. Track leader for owner wins over the years. They were also questioned in the race. But was a different race than what is being investigated right now. Like I said before the old timers around there talk of a certain Jockey who runs the little ring of Favs not hitting the board around the the place. What's rumor and what's for real we'll have to wait and find out. It's a easy place to pull some BS at becauseit doesn't take a lot of money to bet into the race to get the all button. The thing is though every horse Hougthon gets on up here is like Russell Baze at Bay Meadows it gets hammered at the window so put your mind in action and the words Stiffs his mount at 3-5 come to mind.

These little maggots need to be pulled in and thrown out, period. I suspect the same sort of thing has been going at other tracks, and have witnessed it with my own eyes.
They play "grab the fave" and it gives em an edge in exotics.
People screaming and whining about a lotta things but give the ole "ah thats just the way it goes" when these little dwarfs are grabbing. Toss em, let em work as extras in a remake of the Wizard of Oz.

I usually get excited when I see the probables for a big race listed with "No Rider". Unfortunately all of them feel the need to add one by race time. At least if no one had a rider we'd never have to worry about a jockey fixing a race.
