Default Super Frolic?

Sorry if this has already been talked about-

But what the hell are his connections thinking!? If they picked the Mile for him on the basis that he was overmatched in the Classic, he's just as overmatched in the Miletoo! So what's the point!? How about this? Don't race him. I hope he doesn't embarass on BC day... He doesn't belong in either race.

I think he may have been able to earn a paycheck in the Classic - 4th or 5th money - but he doesnt have a chance in hell in the Mile!

He will benefit from being away from California speed favoring tracks. I thought he ran very well against Lava Man the last time they met. Hes sneaky good too, dont completely discount him, he can get a piece. I dont think he can win in either spot, but he has enough class to jump up and surprise as a nice filler in exotics.

I give him more of a chance to hit the board than Lava Man

i don't like lava man's chances that much either but he definitely has a better chance of hitting the board than super frolic. you seem to be analyzing his chances in the classic.....but he is not running in that race. the horse will not benefit from moving away from cali-tracks because he is running on the grass.....which he has not done in an extremely long time.
and even when he did run on the grass he wasn't any good!!!
if they had run in the classic he would have been a longshot.
in the mile he is a no-shot.
he should be at least 80-1.

I was speaking of the classic. When did they officially opt into the turf?

Well, he is actually in the mile.....not the turf, and avance is right, he has no chance.

I read this morning that Jerry Brown convinced the owner that Super Frolic had a better chance in the Mile. I couldn't disagree more.

Seriously they shoulda left him out all together. If they were gonna take a stab, maybe the sprint? In there he could maybe live up to 50-1 odds. In the Mile, Turf or Classic- NO CHANCE! Horrible move to enter him.

Disagree, pmayjr. He missed winning last year by less than 3 lengths, after stumbling badly at the start. I don't think he was coming into this year's Classic any worse than last year's. He was not a likely winner, but he may have had as good a shot as anyone behind the Big 3, with the exception of the Europeans.
