Default Right to Register Cloned Racehorses

The lawsuit reported involves Quarter Horses but wouldn't a favorable ruling for the plaintiff also apply to thoroughbreds as pointed out in the article?

I hope for a negative decision.. But?

I also hope for a negative decision. We don't need to open this can of worms. And what would "thoroughbred" mean if cloning were introduced? Sounds like an oxymoron.
