Scavs WWTS is in the process of getting sold. Your friend will definitely get his money but won't be able to bet with them again. Give it a few weeks till the sale goes through.

None, don't worry about them. They are private. Remember the bill doesn't even go into effect for 270 days and when it does, there are some major questions about how it is even enforceable.

I gets the feeling they'll be able to shake out a deal where they get taxed, and everything will be allright in the end. If they'll get taxed, it could mean they'll move operations to the U.S. as well, so they're enforceable. I think big concessions on the side of the online companies will be made to the U.S. govt, if they can still turn a profit. If not though-
Next year's WSOP main event will drop from 8,00 entrants to maybe 2,000 if lucky.

I did belong to Poker Stars (although because of ym job situation, I haven't played for about a month)- and they literally sent at least 500 entrants to the main event on their own. Maybe more. They had direct satellites, and then they had a Sunday qualifier. So they sent a bunch. I'm assuming Party Poker had a similar amount of entrants.

the WSOP explosion was because of it. ALOT of these sights just CLOSED to US people on Friday, once Bush signed the law.

From what I have read, companies that are part of Antingua and are regulated by their government are also governed by the WTA and the WTA has told them that what they are doing is fair. I will try and find the article I read about it. it was on sportsbookreview.com, which I can't get to at work

i had accounts with both party poker and poker stars. i got all my money outta party poker a couple weeks ago and play exclusively on stars now since they didnt drop business with U.S customers. bodog, full tilt, doyles room and ultimate bet are also sticking with us customers amongst others. titan poker was another that dropped us business, party poker obviously is losing the most money!
