Default Breeders' Cup World Championships . . . what say yee?

I am really looking forward to what could be the most competitive race this year . . . the Distaff with, assuming they all go, Beholder, Close Hatches, Untapable, Princess of Sylmar and Iotapa. I'm sure I'm leaving some excellent entries. I love Slymar but I think she's lost a step or two.

Since she is retired, I would say her chances in this race are quite slim.

Sorry about that, been living under a rock for awhile. And your opinion on the race is?

For whatever it is worth, I am an Untapable fan, that in itself doesn't mean much. Personally, I have to see the line-up first before I can generate an opinion that has some worth to me. G'luck DG....

I'm with Untapable too but SA is Beholder's home track and she will be tough to beat there. Disregarding my senior moment, I still say this may be the best race of the two day event and one you may just want to watch and not bet.

I am going to wait until they actually draw the race before forming an opinion. Lots can happen in the next three weeks.

As for Breeders, I can't wait either!! I've been following most of the contenders, but don't have leading favorites. Besides, a wise man said, "If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans."

No offense taken, I have people for that. A wiser man said "If you have plans tell them to God who will make them happen and then laugh!" I like that much better. I can see I will have a wonderful "love - hate" relationship here until you get to really know me. After that, I'll leave it all up to you . . . and "you" is generic for everyone here.

BTW - so far I am very happy to be here for now . . . just don't forget I have people y'all. That's Texan for you's guys.

My question on her, why in that last race at Parx, was she running with her head turned going down the backside and coming into the lane and then lugging bad running down the stretch?

She was posing and wanted to make sure everyone was looking at here . . . or for a moment she lost interest in what she was supposed to be doing or both. Just goes to show you how good she really is. Who really knows . . . except her???

A reminder that Beholders' two previous BC wins were over a different SA surface. Still home base but new dirt. Same can be said for Chrome with regard to his previous SA victories.

I wouldn't be able to finger Sam Houston on a map if you held a gun to my head! I think it's a city in Texas (???)

Welcome to both of the new guys. Don't worry about your momentary lapse in memory. Contribute what you can, know what you don't know, and glean a brinks truck full of knowledge from some very insightful horse people. There are not too many here as sharp as Paul.

You, on the other hand, are sharp as a marble.

I still haven't figured out why you aren't riding the horses instead of betting on them. I heard they love hobbits....

Hows the baby girl doing... probably not so much a baby anymore
