Default Verrazano retiring after Mile; Paynter, Fort Larned after Classic

At least the bridge will still be there.

Verrazano is one of only two three year olds to win both the Wood Memorial AND Haskell. It's an accomplishment we will probably never see again.

He HAS to be retired. What more could he do??

Really? That would be cool. He's been a top class hard knocker for quite a while.

He's far from impossible to go out with a big win. Would be great if he beat Verrazano.

Why is winning both the Wood and Haskell such a grand achievement that we will never see again? Did you forget to use for us morons that don't easily catch the sarcasasm.

I don't like hearing about retirements of these horses before these big races.
