Default NFL: What's Your Call?

I'm sure most of you saw the lowlights of Haynesworth stomping on a helmetless Gurode after the Cowboys had justed scored a TD. I can't remember anything like this, not even Marichal-Roseboro! What kind of punishment should this player receive for this incident. I think he should be suspended for at least 8 games, possibly the season. And as in the famous hockey assualt of 2005, where one player hit another with his stick and drove him headfirst into the ice, Haynesworth should be charged with aggravated assualt. Somebody has to set a standard..somebody has to say "Enough"! Your thoughts??

I would suspend him for 4 to 6 games, obviously without pay, and fine him a good number like $100,000. Then, I would like to see either Jerry Jones or Bill Parcells step up and sit him for a couple more games. Yeah right like that is gonna happen.

*note to Curt....the offending player is on the Tenn. Titans. The OFFENDED player is on the Cowboys*

What ever the league doesn't do, Fischer will take care of himself.

Not too many teams without glaring weaknesses. The Bears seem pretty legit; the competition they faced in the first two weeks was poor but going to Minny and beating up on Seattle at home shows they are legit. The Bengals have been exposed. They should've lost to Pitt last week; the Steelers beat them up on the line of scrimmage but Rothlesberger threw two picks in the end zone to kill scoring drives. Cincy can't stop the run; neither can the Colts. San Diego still has questions at QB. Rivers finally got tested yesterday against a good D and the results weren't promising. The Ravens have looked very good, but they are pretty old; I think that will eventually take its toll as the season goes on. Denver? Can Plummer be trusted? He was good last year; terrible in his first couple games this year. Carolina? As long as Steve Smith plays, they're legit. Without him, they are average. Steelers? I think Big Ben hasn't been 100% so far. They lost a game they should've won vs Cincy. But they do have the pedigree to get it done in the playoffs. Patriots? Not as bad as the first few games but not as good as they looked yesterday.

He gets the season off. He's prosecuted for aggravated assault. T.O. signs with the Titans after throwing Dallas under the bus.

That should be enough.

I'd like to see him commited. The guy is not fit to be in society at this time.

If Fisher were any type of coach or Tennessee any type of organization they'd keep him out for the year regardless of what the league says. 5 games - thats garbage - pure horse ****.

Yeah, that was pretty brutal. He got 5 games, that's the biggest game related one yet. Fisher may deactivate him after that, wouldn't be suprised. 35 or so stitches. Also in that game, they should have not started VY. especially against a juggernaut D like the Cowboys!

Funny thing is if Fisher and owner somehow found a way to get rid of him, the Cowboys would probably be the first in line to pick him up. Parcells would like his energy. Hate the Cowboys with a passion, but that guy has real issues. I watched the game and before he actually raked him, it look like he tried to kick his helmet out of the way or missed him with his cleats the first time, but I have not seen the whole thing shown again. Just the WWF scrape the face move part.

At least it is five weeks without pay which is almost a third of a year's salary. Those suspensions with pay are the lamest thing ever. I'd love to get suspended from my work with pay.
