Default Would you run Dreaming Of Julia in the Derby?

It appears there's a chance that the Derby will not have a full field, so that even a horse with zero points might be able to run.

The BSF that Dreaming Of Julia got at GP last time out is about 6 lengths faster than any of the Derby bound colts has run.

I'd like her chances in the Derby if she ran, but Pletcher continues to show no interest. I'm wondering if Pletcher would be more inclined to run Dreaming Of Julia in the Derby if he didn't already have 5-6 other horses running.

Granted, I don't know a thing about DOJ's ownership and their inclinations.

I believe she would have a better chance in the Derby. The pace could be wicked fast in the Oaks and shes not a closer. She is likely going to be pressing a hot pace. She could settle better in the Derby. Not much speed this year. I dont love her chances in either race though. She has 1 giant race. Everything else she gets beat, her FL race wins either. Intriguing at least.....

Your analysis sounds familiar.

She would be a bet against in both races.
