RIP Mr. Nelson

Thank you ever so much for your contribution to the game I love so dearly. You were the true definition of a golfer and a gentleman.

Prayers go out to his widow Peggy.

Speaking of the game you love so dearly...you got something lined up yet for a golf related job?? Just hoping you continue to be able to live that dream!

I have a phone interview scheduled this coming Thursday morning Timm. I will be staying in the golf industry, but in a different capacity. I am very excited about the prospects as it is with a major company, with serious benefits and a chance to work my way up throught the company.

Default For those too young to know...

Hell...I'm too young to know! But my point is that Byron Nelson was a pro for 1 year during which he WON 18 tourneys(out of 30) and made 182,000. He retired to become a rancher, and more importantly, during his lifetime raised over 88 MILLION for childrens charities. A Fine Man...the likes of which we shall scarcely see again!

Now they are both gone. Hogan and Nelson, hard to believe that two of golf's greats both started out together, caddying at the same course in Fort Worth.
