Hialeah
Tomorrow is my last day in Southern Florida and I would love to stop by Hialeah to check it out before I fly out tomorrow afternoon. I don't think that they are running tomorrow... does anyone know if I'd be able to get into the facility to walk around and see grounds?

Hialeah's 2013 dates request includes desire for thoroughbred dates post-Gulfstream, April-May. Will be interesting to see if Calder is willing to work with Brunetti on it..

Any chance we ever get the Flamingo back one day? Hard not to think of Hialeah without thinking of the sanctuary, and I think of that race in particular thanks to Walter Farley nostalgia. Probably a reach right now, especially being off 11 years. It'd be nice to get a race won by some legends back on the racing calendar one day (provided they don't rename it something like the Verizon Wireless Readthefootnotes Stakes).
