![]() I know that there are quite a few here that love to see how a good horse runs. To me, a lot of the story is in the strides.
I look for balance, agility, length and quickness. I also like to see a "quiet head" that works together with the rest of the movement...not bouncing up and down, kind of even, maybe a little low. No wasted action. Of the current runners, Deep Impact has as close to a perfect stride as I've seen. Bernardini also has a beautiful way of going. Do any other posters see current runners that have a nice stride? Your input is appreciated. DTS |

![]() I love how Sun King moves. Ducks his head and really powers out through his shoulders.
Invasor, as much as I like him, has terrible action in my opinion. The way he holds his head reminds me of a llama. |

I am biased but I love Henny Hughes' stride...efficient and effective.

![]() Thanks to all that provided insights.
I agree about Pine Island, Danzig. The Gazelle showed a lot. I'll have to watch Henny Hughes a bit closer. And Cajun, I'll watch for Bright One too. Thanks. |
