Default Jerardi: Guerrero just a better trainer than everyone else

http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/...html?viewAll=y

A little hard to swallow..

He is going to regret giving away a top secret training method like using ice. Now other trainers have the top secret playbook to 40% win rates.

Jerardi's arrogance seeps through in this puff piece.

Apparently Dick knows the "formula" on how to spot a "juice" trainer and somehow a guy who bats 50+% off the claim with a sizable sample size doesn't fit into that profile.

I think it laughable that Guerrero now has a "program" where he goes over them teeth to tail and has a brand new ice machine. Funny he brought up steroids since his horses all look like they have been getting steady diet of them.

I remember when CBS sports covered Shifty Shieks close Woodward loss to Slew O Gold and they did a piece on Oscar where he said his success after many years lacking it was due to different shoes. Even noted shill Brent Musberger acted skeptical about the claim.

I sent a email to Jerardi asking of he believed Sammy Sosa doesnt speak English, Mark McGwire worked hard to hit 70 home runs or if ice had anything to do with Barry Bonds enormous head. I don't expect a reply. I should have asked him if he believed in the tooth fairy.

That's funny - I thought immediately of Oscar and Mark McGuire when I read this article....Maybe this trainer uses that cactus juice that is currently "being hawked" on the Info-mercials..No more inflammation.....

Shouldn't you be out pricing brand new ice machines?

I suppose that when his numbers come back to earth, people will think that his ice machine was unplugged.

Marty Wolfson ought to get with JC Guerrero. Between his magic shoes and JCG's ice machine of youth, they couldn't be beat.

I've known Dick for probably ten years, and have not talked to him about this particular piece. I will say this - I think there is more to this article being written in this way than first meets the eye.

Whatever the reason I hope it was worth losing his credability over. Maybe not to you who knows him personally but he has certainly lost it to me and most likely most of the public.

I think perhaps Pat is saying the article was either sarcastic, or tongue in cheek.

Which does make some sense, if you read the article.

Either the writer is a complete moron, or his article is dripping with ironic sarcasm.

The story almost had to be written. But Jerardi is a legend to me, and getting the chance to work with him a few times over the years was a ton of fun. He's sarcastic, witty in a very dry sense, and his attitude towards many things could almost be called sardonic. Knowing THAT Jerardi, combined with this article, and putting his tones behind those words makes it even funnier to me.

If that is what he was saying then I agree but why didn't Pat simply state that the piece was probably satire?
