Default The Open Championship

I'm as American as they come, but I will be pulling for Darren Clarke as hard as I have rooted for anyone in a while.

Another amazing performance for 61yo Tom Watson.

It's absurd in these conditions. He's hit incredible shot after incredible shot. And he hit two good putts on 8 & 9 that didn't go in. This is going to be some back nine... and can't count out Dustin Johnson yet, either.

He's not the one choking down the stretch. How the hell does DJ hit that ball out of bounds? And Mick can't do anything right on the back 9.

Those two have choked away how many majors so far? I'm glad Darren got a major. He has found some mental toughness in a couple big World Golf tournaments (over 1 mil to the winner) before. This is one of those big moments for him. Bjorn, DJ, and Lefty are talented chokers. Hope one of them can suck it up in the PGA next month. I'll take the competitive young man from Australia (Jason Day.)
