Default Oracle..The horse I bought into through IEAH

ran on Sunday at Belmont. I still have not had a chance to see the race. I know he was placed first. What do you think of him?

Please don't mind me asking, but are you talking about Holly Time who got the win when Rondo was DQ'd cause Prado hit HT with his whip?

Congrats, I was thinking of you when he ran! He was VERY good, he was definitely going to be defeated when he was struck accidentally by Prados whip who was riding a very nice horse himself. I know Rick doesnt quite have them all the way cranked off the layoff and had he faced anyone but Rondo(the horse who was dq'd) in the msw ranks in Ny he would have aired. Showed a lot of guts as well. hes going to be nice one.

They really did. The fact that he was going to lose a very talented horse by a little less than a length before being struck is no knock. I also liked the way he persevered thoughout the lane even when the other horse rerallied and looked him in the eye again. Lets put it this way, the dq'd winner cost 2.9 million, the horse you bought into cost only 100 grand at auction. Rondo is probably the better of the two but hes not 29 times better or 2.8 million better. Actaully with Rick training the horse I would say that his chances at a longer and better managed career are higher than Rondo's.
