Default Woodbine - Favourites Dining?

Has anyone spent the day in this dining room before? Would it be a good area to enjoy Breeders Cup Day with a group of 5?

No. But I have a ticket in a 1/16 pole box for Million Day with your name on it.

Already gonna be insanely comedy, might as well blow it out. Free beer.

The food is passable (for a buffet), but not great. I suggest you get the freshly made omlette to start and then hit the roast beef...... Alcohol will set you back...this is Canada after all. If you're not prepared ahead of time the bar bill can be a bit of a shock. If you book early enough you'll get a good table....

Thanks...I booked today for BC Friday and Saturday so hopefully we get hooked up. Looking forward to it, I doubt I will get to see turf racing though, but hopeful

Huh? Scavs asked if they let me into Canada and I replied "not anymore"

What does all that have to do with your invitation?

I have visited Favorites before, their buffet is nice. It's a nice place to watch the races, eat and socialize. The SAMS and tellers are near by so you can bet and eat at the same time.

this is perfect...Sad thing is that the thing I am looking forward to most is live harness racing. Never been, and they have it at night when I am there. You can't go to the Chicago ones unless you are strapped with an AK47.

No nothing about harness racing, but still want to check it out

Goodluck, I know very little about harness racing either but the dining/racing experience is fun especially if you are entertaining or on a vacation. There was a restaurant across the street named the Mandarin buffet that was one of the best buffet's that I have ever eaten at if you want an alternative place to eat. You should see it from the main road. Wicked food!

The whole Canadian money thing is gonna be comedy for me though. Never held another currency before. I know you can exchange US to Canadian at the track, but can they give you US funds for your Canadian when you are done?

There should be a teller that deals in U.S funds if I remember correctly on the second floor, try that,
