![]() Just noticed this.
http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/mo...the_races.html I did see there was an error in the story though. They say Tom Knust is representing him but I heard it was The_Fat_Man, who says Channing is only a few weight room sessions away from stardom. NT |

![]() He'll be second-leading rider in that preschool colony, at least until Orlando Bocachica follows suit.

![]() Given the riding colony expected for Belmont and Saratoga ( especially with Gomez coming ) Hill is making a good choice.
He can't even get good business in the winter....he will get drowned outside of Aqueduct in NY. I always liked Hill as a rider, but he seems to have lost confidence, and is far too passive overall. Maybe the change of venue will revitalize his career. I hope so.

![]() Awwwww
Hill will be missed, for sure. Unless you take a close look at the NUMBERS, obscure though they may be, you'll miss out the fact that HILL is THE VERY BEST in the WORLD at COMING as CLOSE as possible to the OUTER RAIL without HITTING IT. I mean, imagine, just about EVERY RACE, not having the strength to be able to keep a horse straight/in in the stretch run. Takes a special jock to be able to pull this one off. ![]() I eagerly look forward to those WIDE STRETCH DUELS that are just sure to materialize between HILL and the DOOFUS Rosario. The rest of the jocks are saving ground and these two idiots will be by the outer rail. NOW, it gets real tough trying to determine who the weakest jock in CALI will be; well, it's definitely not Sutherland or Stra. Last edited by the_fat_man : 03-16-2009 at 09:20 PM. |

![]() Channing was 21-for-246 at Prarie Meadows in 2004 ... if you can only win 8% there as a bug .. and just 9% at Columbus ... you probably aren't much rider.
He deserves a lot of credit for lasting as long as he did in NY. Must have a real good personality and work ethic. |

![]() As Andy points out this decision is not surprising considering the mounts he has been getting and the colony he would have to face. The writing has been on the wall since he lost the vast amount of Hushion mounts.

![]() Does this open-up the opportunity for ntamm1215 to now move his tack east???

![]() I wish him luck...I actually like him as a rider and would much rather have him on a horse I am betting then almost anyone else riding at Aqueduct right now.

![]() It's tough when apprentices lose the bug to establish themselves somehwere and C. Hill hasn't had the bug for awhile. I really don't see him making much of an impact out west. Talamo was once a hot bug something Channing wasn't and he is only modestly winning at 10% at the moment after struggling for much of his time out there. I wish him luck, from what it sounds like he's a good kid.
