Default Will You Please Ride My Horse?

Dunkirk just can't keep a rider can he? Prado rode him first out then chose another horse in his next race. Gomez gets on him for his next two then when he has to make a choice, he goes to Pioneerof the Nile. With a chance to get back on him for the Belmont, he choses Chocolate Candy and now Velasquez is on him. As much as all of the expert handicappers seem to love this horse, he sure doesn't seem to impress riders too much.

Why do I get the feeling I've seen this before?
Maybe he should put an ad on Craigs List.

In the DRF, Pletcher said they selected J.V. over Gomez.

The ownership trio of Michael Tabor, Derrick Smith, and Susan Magnier, along with trainer Todd Pletcher, chose Velazquez over Gomez and Edgar Prado, both of whom had ridden Dunkirk previously.

Say what you want about Dunkirk, but I think he has way more upside than Chocolate Candy.

As one of the suckers who likes this horse let me be first to throw out an early excuse for him....on paper the race isn't exactly setting up well for him.
