The next time I wish that I'm flat broke, in hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt, except for the money I'm carrying with me to the track...and betting it all on permutations around a 70-1 filly overlaid against the boys at Calder...well, that would be the first time. This belongs in the same category of "2 Mins to Post" claiming he has a few thousand dollars and wants to try betting the races to turn a profit but wants suggestions on what type of wagers to make. Some people can be both stupid and lucky. Congrats to Larry for proving it. |

![]() Just a random Google search seems to indicate that the trifecta wager was first introduced in 1971.

![]() i bet alot of people in south florida would have loved to have seen him after the race and beaten the crap out of him so he would have paid back all the people he owed money to and or screwed and never made good on even after he got to the point where he says winning $8000 now doesnt mean crap to him. its a nice story but i wish it would have happened to someone who deserved it

![]() He's still checking ball scores during station breaks of his show. Fact is he's just another addictive personality that's figured out how to whore himself out every night on that show. The person being interviewed knows Larry is gunna kiss up. He doesn't have a real personality on that show, and he probably doesn't at home. If you have that many marriages, you're trying to buy something, or somebody. People realize that, and want out of situations like that.

![]() Larry King is famous for exagerating details of any of his stories or just plain lying. Reference his bragging that Sandy Koufax was a boyhood friend. Outright lie.

![]() Colin Cowherd told this story on his show this morning on ESPN Radio. He went into great detail about the wagers. If this is an urban legend it's making the rounds.

![]() There are so many ways to go wrong with lies, that you would think he would give that up at when he turned 70 or so. For all we know, somebody kept the results from that day, and the pool size may not even jive with what he's saying. I don't see how a horse who beat this type of group (a couple races ago) would be 70-1. Show me that deal. Is that not the most absurd part of his tale? Just should of said he liked the way she looked on the track. See, when you get away from the truth, most people tend to get away from reality too much. We like that. That's why they make movies.
