What is this talk of him never signing his contract? Does that mean Kentucky is off the hook for the $6 million buyout?

haven't seen that one yet... but I'm sure KY will try whatever it can to get out of paying the $6 mil.

I believe he wouldn't sign a contract because it contained something similar to a morality clause...go figure. Also heard the may actually be less becuase of other issues. We will see maybe @ 4:30 press conf........

The University of Kentucky Douchenozzles.

Only a school of pretentious c.unts would fire a guy and keep the AD who hired him. Barnhart is not doing his job.

Now Donovan just released a statement saying he's commited to Florida. Good.

F.uck the Douchenozzles. Morality clause. Go f.uck yourselves.

Coach, agree about Barnhart, but let's face it... Billy G. is pretty much a prick to media, fans, and most importantly the people in the athletic dept..
With that said, ol' Mitch better take his time and get this one right, I'm surprised they let him go without somebody else ready to jump in.

wouldn't surprise me if Ford and Gillespie just end up flip-flopping jobs. Ford's a KY guy... Gillespie's a big 12 guy.

We however,
will sign our contract immediately.

Gillispie cant handle the PR. Thats why he was
so good at ATM. ATM does not give a flyn flip
about basketball. ATM could win the National
championship and Basketball would still be their
3rd or 4th sport. He needs a low profile school.

But he thought he was big stuff. He did not like
ATM because he knew ATM did not care about
basketball. When you go to a school that cares,
you had better win AND shake the correct hands.
He did neither.

there are also rumors, and yes I said rumors, or borderline abusive treatment towards the players. I can't verify the accuracy, but if true, this guy is going to have a hard time finding work.
After hearing Barnhart, on a few occassions, mention the well-being of the student-athletes, well.....that would make sense.
Problem for UK though is that to the bball world it looks like the crazy fans ran off a 20+ win coach, when that looks to not be the case.

Yes they are flying. Halftime of the ND game, Billie G told Meeks not to leave the locker room. Apparently an assistant coach went to get him.

Heard that Travis Ford is not a so-called blue-blood, so I think he's way down the list.

Calipari to UK is pretty much a done deal.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=4026848

There will soon be three Italian guys in all of Ky- Pitino, Calipari, and me.

Still no word.

If this falls through then Lee Todd and Mitch Barnhart need to be removed.

Memphis is fighting hard. Heard Pitino hates Calipari so much that if Calipari takes the KY Jelly job, then Pitino would explore Zona. But thats from the nutcases and Bilas.

If that even had a hint of truth than PLEASE TAKE THE JOB IN KY CALIPARI!!

Though it would not make sense to me for Pitino to leave Louisville because Calipari takes the Kentucky Job... how do they relate with the exception of both being located in the same state?

This whole thing is affecting tons of top recruits as well as coaching changes. Mike Anderson is being floated for the Memphis job. Memphis had by far the top recruiting class in the country next season, and those guys may end up having to re-commit. Lance Stephenson has also delayed his announcement (again) because Kansas, his probable destination, may be able to use a scholarship on one of the guys Memphis would lose (Wall, Henry, Cousins), meaning Lance would have to go to either Maryland or St. John's.

Calipari is really milking this for all it is worth. He owes it to his player and his recruits for next year to stop enjoying all the attention and make the decision that everyone knows he is going to make.
