Default Whitney and "Cunningham" Test this weekend

Who is showing up for the Whitney? Flower Alley, Invasor, and how about Commentator?

As for the Darley "Cunningham" Test, I would think Hello Liberty walks all over these fillies at 7F, but does anyone else know who else is going?

I told Joel back in the early summer when he railed on about the Darley dominance that pletcher would eat their lunch up here. So far its Pletcher 3 stakes wins and Sheikh 1.
Todd will continue to dominate them, especially with trainers who dont even know how fit their own horses are for grade two races. Todd sure doesnt screw up like that.

Thats comparing apples and oranges....Darley doesn't have as many head as Plecther does at the Spa, either.....Plus, they are focused on all big racing all around the world while Pletcher is narrowly focused on Saratoga.....its all relative...

everybody knew that Todd would win his share so that was ahrdly stepping out to make that comment....it would more surprising to see him NOT win his share of graded stakes - lets face it......Todd WILL win the trainiing title and Johnny V will win the riding title and that is a fact....

Now, from a quality perspective - I'll take the Sheiks roster of the follwoing horses over anyone else including Pletcher:

Bernardini, Henny Hughes, Discreet Cat, Invasor, Jazil, Songster, Balletto, and the list goes on and on.....plus, they are just now unveiling all of the expensive babies at the Spa and I GUARANTEE that there will be some Breeders' Cup 2YOs emerge from them....just watch....

Also Oracle, I still believe Scat Dadd would eat Circular Quay's lunch....wanna wager on that too?

Folks lets not forget Lael is the leading owner out there. As for CQ and Scat Daddy, it looks like CQ is avoiding him. SC is going to the Hopeful, CQ is likely not.

I dont think they are gonna meet. I'm hearing Quay in the Special, and Daddy and The Dogwood horse in the Hopeful. After that I imagine he will keep them seperated as long as possible. Maybe the Breeders Cup? If it happens yeah Im in.

Hello Liberty is the only horse that has given Bushfire a run all year and I think Bushfire is the best filly out there up to 1 mile. The 7f Test is perfect for Hello Liberty. I just like both of Larry Jones fillies.

Aight, cool.....your horse should like two turns better than mine so you probably have an advantage...but I really think Scat Daddy possesses more god-given talent....we'll see eventually....

By the way, how come my name has to be called out in this thread?

LOL! You wanna wager that they aren't leading owner at years end? I will give you 2-1 odds. Hell make it 5-1. Your 100 bucks vs my five hundred, are we on?

Of course not, Darley is looking at 3M just for the BC Classic. Had Barbaro been around though, Barbaro and Showing Up alone probably could have brought in 5-6M between them.

Excellent reply and Showing Up has one more race where he can earn cash, the Secretariat. After that he's gonna get thrown to the wolves that are this years older turf division. Thats no knock on Showing Up, who is a telented horse himself.

Showing Up is going to earn $1M+ this year at a minimum. Not bad for a $60K purchase. I wouldn't go counting him out of making money in the Turf Classic. The BC Turf is obviously a little more difficult with the Europeans, but Showing Up is just as good as English Channel was at 3 and English Channel only lost by a nose to Shakespeare in the Turf Classic.

You still want to stick with those words about your boy Pletcher. I think Flower Alley is just finishing now.

FA wasn't 100% today according to Pletcher... so what does that mean?

It means that if you bet him back the odds will be only a little higher than today. Nothing more unless they find a real problem they can fix.

Showing Up is a joke. And how ironic that you never showed up. I told you to bring those friends with you, nothing. Not even a peep. You are officially a gutless coward.
