(R7)...I'm also done trying to catch Ballast at such short odds.(R8)...With this said, they should be automatic includes for everyone...Going on a limb with Blues Street in the feature, thinking he may be sitting on a good one tomorrow.

![]() I notice that a lot of people seem to like the #4 (Box of Charms) in the 7th. I can certainly understand why that would be the case given that her last race was as good or better than the last race of almost everybody in the field.
However, horses like Box of Charms are horses that I tend to avoid. Box of Charms ran two fairly unremarkable races for a very competent trainer (Trombetta) before being claimed by Calabrese/Catalano. To the surprise of nobody, her three starts for that team were significantly better. She was claimed out of the last by an unremarkable barn and is now running back at the same level Catalano was running her at, and to top things off, she doesn't have a published work since the claim. I can understand using her if you are going very deep here (which might make sense) but she is the exact type of horse exiting the Catalano barn that I typically toss in a spot such as this one. Just my opinion. |
