That was swell,Uncly-poo.

I'm really glad for him.He's a good guy and he knows what he's doing. Too bad Shapiro hasn't the foggiest of what he's doing.


You know,Uncly, a short story: Many made fun of Manuel's ways here;the twang,the stumbling way he talked.But this guy was a survivor...literally. 3 heart attacks and then they pulled out a couple feet of intestine. They players really liked him and he did very well at the end of the Indians run.


A writer recently,Livingston, came out and extolled upon Charlie .He also mentioned he had cheap shot him when he was here by making fun of the way he talked.He felt bad about that and a week later or so he met with Manuel and apologized although Manuel never even gave a hint that any of it bothered him. Livingston said Manuel just smiled and told him to forget it...no harm done.

He got hosed here by Shapiro and he's too good and too smart to have been treated that way.


I am really happy for the guy...he sure deserves it all.
