I also in for the Turfway start. As an alternative to Cinny, I found cheaper airfare into to Dayton. Looks to be about an hours drive from Cinny.

You can make Dayton to Florence in about 75-90 minutes.. 75-S to Cincy and into Kentucky on 71-75 S to Turfway (Exit 182).

Does not look like Southwest flies into Cincy or Dayton....Louisville looks to be the closest place that they fly to....Louisville to Florence looks about the same as Dayton to Florence????

I'll be there of course.

And there is an absolutely fabulous Italian restaurant next to the track, if anyone is hungry afterwards!

As a former resident of Florence - be prepared for the traffic around there, it's not LA, but it does require some patience.
If things go well, I will try to make it down.

Airport advisory Board continues to protect Delta by keeping competitors away from CVG. Standiford Field in Louisville is 91 miles from Turfway Park.

RAMPILLION START DELAYED

There is news on Rampillion who will NOT enter the race at Turfway Park on September 20 after twisting her ankle this morning while jogging. It is very minor, but she will not be able to gallop for at least three days, and Chuck needed to get a serious workout into her this weekend in advance of the race. Instead of Turfway now, Rampillion will shoot for a MSW start at Hoosier Park the first week of October.
