Nice to see the Salvator Mile get won with a Beyer 10 or more points higher than fine Grade 1 stake races such as the Triple Bend, United Nations, Vanity, and American Oaks.

why was the American Oaks low? I thought she ran a good final time, like 2 mins flat or something? could be mistaken though.

Edit: final time was 2:00.50

The American Oaks was actually a pretty good race.
Even could be debatable that the irish filly who ran 4th actually ran her same race that she ran in the GIs. But hey it's a turf race

synthetic races always seem to come up slower then the dirt figures, and its usually related to the pace. For example the triple bend had a 23 and change quarter and a 45 half so it was pretty hard to run a sparkling time given how slow the early portion of that race was run.

For example - the Salvator Mile has a sparkling name and deserves Grade 1 status - and if not for a missing 'e' would be the countrys most important race in my opinion.
