I definitely think he will. That race doesnt conflict with the Whitney (8/5 at Saratoga) which Flower Alley will be running in, and the only stakes at Saratoga that day is the Fourstardave, so I'm quite sure Pletcher will have Johnny V riding in the $1,000,000 race instead of the $150,000 one. Plus, Monmouth has a lot of stakes that day, so I'd guess Pletcher may send a few horses for it. The only other 'big money' race taht day is the WV Derby...

Bright One should win the WV Derby and head off undefeated to take on Bernardini. Horses like Bluegrass Cat are tier 2 horses now.

Is he pointing for that? Sweet if he is - I'll be there and I'd love to see some talent on the Mountaineer track!

That is what they said. I thought he could win the Haskell but I guess they figure he needs a softer spot because of his lack of experience. $750K is a nice purse.

Sweet . I cant believe more trainers dont come to WV for the 750k instead of Monmouth for the 1000k given the level of competition. SNS was supposed to come to WV but they have since shelved him for the next couple of months. Hope its a good race! Perhaps Deputy Glitters, one of my faves, will show up...
