![]() Who contributes to Surface/Going preference? Sire or Dam or ?
Is there a belief that either the Sire or Dam Sire or Other(such as female family) are the DOMINANT factor related to how a horse likes a certain type of going or track condition? Turf "going" could offer a clue, in places where there are so many turf races over non-firm tracks, there may have been some research. I haven't really heard anyone say "Sires determine the going preference" etc... I have heard that hoof size & conformation affect surface or going preference, and that makes sense logically which parent influences hoof characteristics? |
