Default Street Boss

I realize that the track was playing very quick at Hollywood today, but this improving 4YO was really impressive winning the sprint stakes race at Hollywood. If the BC is run over a synthetic surface at Santa Anita, it looks like he would be a major player if he stays healthy.

It's amazing how good a horse can look when it's moved correctly and changes leads in the stretch.

If I were the owner/trainer my boot would still be in Solis' ass for all the poor, and thus abusive, rides he gave this horse.

He should have lost that race five strides out of the gate. Street Boss proved he is a good horse today. I had him and Sailors Sunset in the late pick four and rooting against him when he made his strong close. I felt like I lost when my wager actually moved ahead.

It was a great performance and he might be a legit contender in the BC Sprint if he stays healthy.

I had Sailors Sunset, High Standards in my pick 4. Pick 4 only paid $157 so no worries here.

I think the only horse that Headley still guaranteed to Solis is Surf Cat. Flores is his 1st call rider( for now atleast.) Surprised they let him keep riding that one. I would upgrade, and see if some of those 2nd place finishes should have been more than that. Maybe that header Solis took today will get him thinking about going to make some wine. He has money, and a wino hobby,so why ride those slow horses much longer. Headley no more, and had a spill. He couldn't get past that lil 600 pound filly today. Didn't get put up by d.q. He could retire soon.I won't be surprised. It's getting late for him. Everything on him probably seems to still work.Just go out healthy, and rich. Make that wine.

Rumor is that it was a "personal issue" and not directly racing related. Perhaps having someting to do with Headley's daughter who I believe is also his assistant.
