Default VIOLETTE: Forcing Issue Next? NYRA not Bluffing..

http://news.bloodhorse.com:80/viewstory.asp?id=43420

Karen Johnson in the B-H... Violette doesn't think the Association will accept another extension and a shutdown might get things accomplished..

“There are easily two mindsets here: We all would like to have seen this resolved months ago because it isn’t doing anybody in the industry any good. But if NYRA stopped racing for a few days, or a few weeks, could that bring a resolution? That is where the devil lays.”

Violette failed to bring up his poor judgement in this whole process and it's contribution to where things are now...

Is this the same Rick Violette that threw his support behind Empire?

Next.

It is astounding what a clusterf**k this has become. Sen Tedesco now blames Shelly Silver, Silver balmes Bruno, Spitzer blames Pataki and Bruno blames NYRA and nothing gets done. Meanwhile horsemen sit waiting for the other shoe to drop. Not that some of our "leaders" aren't to blame, such as Rick Violette and who can forget Richard Bomze. I almost wish Charlie Hayward would pull the plug to give some of these geniuses a wakeup call.

This will eventually get resolved. In the mean time the NYRA is a bargaining chip for Albany. This may continue into the state budget battle and I guess that means April, at least.
