Default Fabulous photograph..

Seth at Equidaily.com linked this May '07 shot by Swedish fotog Sven Nackstrand who passed away this week... Thought it was just great. Harness racing very big in Sweden.

(FILES) This file picture taken by Swedish photographer Sven Nackstrand dated 27 May 2007 shows US horse Mr Muscleman, a speed world record holder, showing interest in spectators during warmup for the race "Elitloppet" at the Solvalla race track in Bromma, outside Stockholm. Swedish photographer Sven Nackstrand, who worked for Agence France-Presse for more than 20 years covering primarily the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, died 18 December 2008 of cancer, his family said. Cool pictures. The background in a few of the pictures looks like downtown Lake Placid.

Default Great Photos

Great photos from both, made me feel good on a christmas morning while hoping from a call from my son in Iraq. Can't wait till he gets home so we can go to the track together again. I'll even listen to his handicapping advice.

How inspiring. What great relationships we all have with the horse. I'd love to see a winning thoroughbred go over to the crowd. Maybe not jump in like a football player , but get close to share the joy.

Very big doesn't quite cut it. Just look at their V75 wager, which Bill Finley covered on ESPN.com earlier in the year. That would be a great wager, but never too likely in the US as Finley explains.

Can you imagine a $25 million carryover here in the US?

A beautiful shot.....

Movement, your eye travels in a circle, just lovely.

(Unlike the Eclipse winner...)
