Default Finally!

Some nice looking 2 yo's are now coming out of the woodwork in So Cal. Colonel John was quite impressive on the stretch out in the Real Quiet on cushion track at HP. The son of Tiznow out of an Turkoman mare has the look of a natural 2 turn distance colt. Next stop Hollywood Futurity.
Also at HP, split divisions of 2yo maiden race displayed two impressive winners. Kayego (Gilded Time) was quite impressive debuting for Palo Lobo (Farda Amiga fame)getting the 6f in 1:09.19. Also on the card, El Gato Malo (El Correador)from the Craig Dollase barn, debuted in the identicle time of 1:09.19. Both colts showed high speed throughout to win going away. Let's hope their speed oriented pedigrees' don't hold them back from potential 3yo campaigns...

That race that was won by Lobo's maiden should produce alot of winners. I think Baffert's horse in El Gato race is a next out winner and future stakes winner

That horse will destroy with a better pp and a tad more distance. He had to be used early on the rail and still was the only other that was finishing yesterday.

Baffert's Congaree sib is named Sangaree (that ran second to El Gato Malo)...

MC,

Baffert had said he fully expected the colt to 'need one'...

Why would it? They still book 6f and 7f races for 3yo don't they?

I just made a comment about this race in the selections forum, Kev. It's a good thing Baze hasn't had a bad injury yet or he might not have split those two down the stretch. He's really stepped up his game with the return of Gomez and the additions of Bejarano and Leparoux.

Thanks Zaf. It's a great feeling when you are right about a bet back. Makes it all worth it, especially when they are 10-1.
