Default No Beer.......

...will be allowed to be brought into the grandstand or clubhouse at Pimlico on Preakness Day beginning with the 2008 edition. The MJC has put their foot down and, in an effort to conform to the other two TC event's rules, simply will not allow you to bring a six-pack in while you sit in their $200 seats - which two days prior to Preakness, only cost $5 to sit in.

So, if you go this year, get ready to dig deep for those 16 oz. Bug Lites they sell for $7.50 a bottle. Oh, but wait - do you think they might jack those prices up a little more with this new rule?????

Nahhhhhh....

That's crap, man. They've just taken all of the fun out of Preakness day. It was bad enough when they stopped allowing kegs.

Imagine, being forced to sneak in a whiskey flask to the Preakness? Now you all know just what to get for Christmas for that big time horseplaying friend.

They should be counting their blessings that any sane person would run the gauntlet to get there in the first place...getting to the main gate without a bullet wound and still having a cooler at the hip ought to be considered a badge of courage

Wow, thats a kick in the nuts. They just took away probably the only good thing about having to sit through one of the wost undercards on a major racing day. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Looks like we're back to stash'n liquor on various parts of a bodies just like in l'ville. Just when i thought baltimore couldn't get any worse..... this happens
