London is a smaller town, physically a bit isolated, lower income generally, and time-consuming get to from I-75 or I-65. The population isn't dense down there. I'm wondering why that area was chosen.

I think there is a valid point about new roads needed to be built, along with restaurants, hotels, affordable housing, police, fire, etc - they do not currently have the infrastructure in place to deal with that influx of people.

I think the primary problem is that they don't want "big city" stuff nearby, "ruining" the very rural area where they have chosen to live. Some towns do not want to grow.

What is a "quarter horse" track anyway? I've only seen QH's run on 6 to 8 furlong ovals. Are they talking about a dragstrip?

I don't really think they have to worry about folks spending their church tilth on gambling, as rural KY has one of the highest rates of meth addiction in the country.

Wonder why they want to build in that particular area? Trying to get a track established, so they can get in on gaming in the future, would be my best guess.

He changed it to Qwartahosses to make it look like a play on a word. It was Quaterhorse.

I've heard people say 'qwarta' but they weren't rednecks. Um....yeah.
