I glanced at the thread title and thought it was Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.

Now that would've been entertaining.

this article is saying that it was safe for the horses, yet I swear.. I'll go back to check, but in MMSC's Angels' thread, there were like 5 fatal breakdowns, maybe more. I dont think that is too great of a number for a short meet, unless there were like 12 last year.

I heard over 30 committed suicide during the meet.

that is sick, but funny. LOL

Yes I just counted the horses from MMSC's thread again and it was 5 fatal breakdowns.

By the way, Pillow Pants, I watched Clerks II for the first time the other night and found out where your handle comes from. You are the funniest man around my friend.

i think he is incorrect stating that the outside paths were better than the inside paths. an appreciable number of horses came through on the rail in the stretch, and many horses, particularly in sprints, would lead into the stretch on the rail, lose the lead by a head or neck, and come back on. it was really a jockey's track this year. in socal, it has always been the strategy to make your move on the far turn and get into striking position at the top of the stretch. at delmar this year, it was much wiser to wait until the 3/16th pole before really asking the mount for more. patience really paid.

Just my small input here.
I too was not a fan of Keeneland going to Polytrack. After watching and taking notes of the fall meet, we headed to Keeneland for our yearly trip to the Blue Grass week-end. To cut a long story short, I played my hunches from the fall meet, and came home with a sizable chunk of $$'s in my account. I think you either have to go with the flow or leave it alone completely.
