Default Meet Indyanne - No Cal's Potential Star

It is not often that we can get excited about a horse here in Northern California who might make an impact on the national scene (Lost In the Fog, Smokey Stover, Casual Lies) but it appears that Greg Gilchrest might have another one in Indyanne a two year old filly by Indian Charlie. She was purchased in one of the two year old in training sales this Spring and her debut at odds on was a walk in the park winning for fun by 10 lengths in a good 109 and 3/5 time.

She is entered today in a $60,000 stakes race and is listed at 2-5 ML. Hopefully, she will run down in Santa Anita in the Oak Leaf after this one if she comes out of it in good shape and/or go on to the Breeders Cup Juvenile Filly race at Monmouth.

This guy is coming up with some nice horses from limited #'s, at least that's from what I've been told. I am looking forward to Smokey Stover in the BC Spring. I'll have to check out this filly.

Yes, he is the real deal. Started training horses for John Harris of Harris Ranch. He is also a real nice guy and spots his horses real well.

A little off topic, but Hystericalady is a pretty big NoCal star I believe.

Nice and his front running style will suit Monmouth.

Indyanne was one of those "can't miss" horses who worked very fast and visually impressive at a 2-year-old in training sale.

She's yet to show anything other than exceptional raw speed in her first two races.

We shall see what happens when she gets hooked. We will see what happens when she stretches out.

The Beyer came back really low, like a 74 or something. I think they are way off on that one.

Default Have to say

That second race was not as visually impressive as her first. Don't see how she or anyone can beat Irish Smoke at this point in time.....
