Default Belmont

ManOWar and Garden City turned up two nice fields. Yellow Stone has a solid resume and has been facing tough horse overseas. I'm not to crazy about Shamdian, and Sunriver isn't for me. I think the two euro's in here will be game, Murtagh got off Doctor Dino.

Garden City-It will be nice to see if Rutherian can run them down once again. The connections have been talking highly of Missvinki. Horse shoudl get a dream trip, It will be tough though to throw out Alexander and Rutherine.

Overall, a nice card at Big Sandy. Pick:

2nd-Cool Coal Man-I love the main and oklahoma steady works upstate. Horse should love the SO to a mile and Minsshaft/AP Indy backbone is nice. Zito and Castellano get thier picture taken.

3rd-Saratoga Kaz-will either win by 6 or bounce like a basketball. I might take a shot with Fiddlers Token-Horse has some decent works.

8th-Ginger Punch-last race at the Spa was so impressive physically. Bobby's got this one just right, Can you say "wire to wire".

4th-Just a old school Belmont Pig race- use the ALL BUTtON.

$10 PICK 3 RACES 2 3 4

1,6/2/ALL

Total-$88.00

Don't get me wrong, I love Ginger Punch today as well, but what could possibly make you think she'll go wire to wire? She's been in front after 1/4 mile once in her life and it was in her debut. I find it nearly impossible for her to make the lead with Take D' Tour and Teammate signed on, which actually fits perfectly into what she'll want to do and that is sit just off of the 2 speeds.

Now if you are looking to go wire to wire somewhere, perhaps you should take another look at Sunriver. Who is possibly going to run with him? And if Sunriver doesn't float your boat, take a look at Sharp Susan in the GCBC. With only the slightest chance that Street Sound will go with her, she should be in front turning for home because I don't see anyone that wants 6f in the 1:10 she ran last time. She wont even need to go close to that to have a clear and easy lead and if that is the case, as it was in the Lake Placid and Herecomesthebride, she'll be pretty tough to mow down. The best part is...she 8 to freakin 1 on the M/L.

Obviously, this is all just MHO.

As a side note...GREEN MONKEY ALERT...looks like it could be next Saturday. We can only hope.

In think the race sets up perfectly for Miss Shop. Take D' Tour, Teammate & Ginger Punch will all go out together (Hopefully in blistering fractions) Miss Shop sits about 4 lengths off of the speed duel and pounces in the stretch. This may not happen, but if I can get 5-1 on Miss Shop I will take it over even money on Take D' Tour & Ginger Punch.

I had Miss Shop in the Personal Ensign and loved watching her come home to just about guarantee my Pick 4, but 1 1/16 miles is nowhere close to a good distance for her (9 wins overall, none at a mile and a sixteenth) and she hasn't run big back to back races in a while. I'd be shocked if Bejarano couldn't get GP to settel in behind the 4 and 5.
