I can't wait -- an all grass pick-4. Maybe even two of them? I believe it's the last eight of the day being run on the green.

Should be lots of fun to bet on....from Portland.

I noticed this last night but at the bottom it says something about the Sunday/Monday races being available for both days because Thursday is going to be a double draw. That led me to believe that some of the Monday races could be used on Sunday. I hope I'm wrong because then the Monday card will be very strong.

I'm a bit unfamiliar with the whole entry drawing process, so you'll have to forgive me.

Since we don't usually run on Mondays I think the double draw refers that both days will be drawn on Thursday. Many at the track this w/e talked of the 8 turf race day.

It's on the Arlington site as well, and in the paper.

They're using a temporary rail on loan from Fairgrounds to create two turf courses to accommodate the races like they did on Million day.

I'll take a look and post some picks, as it's my kind of surface

What is bullshit is that they need to tell you that they are running on the INNER. Spotsgone is a decent play in that Sea O Erin if everyone knew it was on the INNER. I didn't realize it until post time.

Yea, they didn't announce it very much -- Dooley only mentioned it (i think) when going over pending changes the once or twice he did that throughout the day. If you miss it, you're screwed.

****, Spotsgone wasn't a decent play even if they ran on gravel.

That thing was the worst horse in the field.

Why would that be? What's it matter? Isn't the inner rail the same as the 'usual' rail?

Number-wise he wasn't a bad play. On his best day he was just as fast, if not faster than the horses in the field. Give him a lonely lead and he's gone.

The first try on the turf was the big question mark, but he was hardly lacking in the speed department and had a pretty fair amount of back class too.

Because it is a VERY tight course when they race on that inner, VERY TIGHT, speed holds EXTREMELY well.
