![]() Just watched the running of The Personal Ensign at the Spa. Is it just me or did Ramon Dominguez hold Unbridled Belle back for too long? IMO she was full of run, and when her stable mate Indian Vale made a move there, he should have went too! Don't get me wrong JJ on Miss Shop was gonna be the winner, and I thought that ride was a patient thing of beauty, but I just feel Ramon made a wrong choice.

![]() You really should fire that tape up again and take a closer look.
If you think that she wasn't beating Miss Shop, then you really should have no issues with the ride. Now, as for the ride itself: Dominguez was just the opposite. He was IMPATIENT. If he had enough to outkick Indian Vale LATE, then he should have been OFF the pace, rather than involved with it on the inside. He gave the horse a perfect, PATIENT trip in DEL. Seems he didn't learn his lesson OR had a plane to catch. It's 1 1/4. Why get involved with horses you know can't get the distance? Now, he absolutely BUTCHERED the ride on King of the Roxy last out in DEL (he was BENT OVER, in fact, it was so bad) so maybe we get the better effort tomorrow from Mr Dominguez. |
