![]() Glad to see this article in the DRF today. About time to see that cheating is going to be addressed in the 53 Breeder's Cup events at Monmouth this year (OK, not quite 53 YET).
I think that one thing that is overlooked in the drug conversations is how there needs to be more preventative action to resolve drugging horses, because I have yet to receive a check in the mail stating how in the X race at Y track Z horse was disqualifed, the purses were redistribued, and the mutuals were corrected. Fining/suspending the trainers after the event only goes so far, as the bettors are still paying the price, but I know that I am only preaching to the choir. I am certain that this will not solve the issues, but at least the Breeder's Cup is making a positive move in my opinion... |
