Default Two-year-old sets track record at CD

Subtle Aly scored impressively in :50 2/5 in CD's second race today. She's trained by Steve Asmussen, she's by French Envoy, she was only a $3,000 yearling purchase, she went off at 13-1 and beat Asmussen's other filly in the race, Twisted Tale, who was bet down to 7-5. Heads up.

no reines on her bottom line but the family looks good. '87 bc sprint champ Very Subtle plus as noted is her 2nd dam and Conniver the 1948 champion mare.

Actually, Ellen Parker named The Schemer, Conniver, Double Agent, Deceit, and Sweetly Scheming to the Reines list. Pedigreequery has not kept its reines list up to date. This family is near to my heart as the first racehorse I bought was Very Subtle's granddaughter Subtle Remark. The first time she ran on grass she beat the boys by 10 lengths in a MSW at RP. Unfortunatly, she tore a suspensory ligament. We have a yearling colt by Silic and she is infoal to Mingun now.

Track might have been biased, it starting raining right before the 1st race and they could have sealed it making it lightning fast. I overlooked her as I played the #2 with "get pinched back" Bejarano. But my 2nd choice was the other Asmussen entry. Still, she smoked an expensive field.

Thanks for the Very Subtle info. I was watching the BC races today and saw her sprint win. Was wondering about her. Deb
