One Thing Never Changes

How is it that the umpires blow obvious calls so much? Seems like they are even worse than when I was growing up.The same guy missed 2 calls at 2nd base today in the Rays-Dodger game(We are talking about a game that's only 3 and a half innings along.)The 1st one was so obviously bad(Pierre just safe as can be.) The 2nd blown call was Kemp being called out at 2nd(when he was never even tagged at all.) I'll overlook the 2nd one(blocked out,and assumed a tag was made..it wasn't.)Why do we not care about these things? Is it because it's a 162 game season?
