the first two no doubt.

to quote the article

"You have to think of the aura of a stallion and if it's a Kentucky Derby winner, that's big," said Ric Waldman, pedigree adviser for Overbrook Farm.

"If a horse wins the first two, it gets lots of press, lots of attention for three weeks, and some of that will stay with a horse," he said.

I think I would want the Derby and the Belmont. Some bold type in a mile and a half race will do wonders down the road.

Steve wrote about this. The horses that win the Preakness and Belmont of proven to be better horses. The Derby has all kinds of reasons the best horse doesn't win. Now Ky Derby and Belmont would trump that in my opinion

Sometimes. Point Given, Afleet Alex, Native Dancer... no question. But Smarty Jones, Silver Charm, Spectacular Bid, Northern Dancer? They were all the best 3YO's of their generation by QUITE a bit.

Basically any horse that wins 2 of 3 has to be pretty damned good, that's established. I personally would take the Derby/Preakness, and Belmont is my home track.

Derby and Preakness. Belmont is an irrelevant distance in the US on dirt and you wouldn't capture that feeling of leaving Pimlico with immortality possibly lying in front.
