Yeah, Finger Lakes raised the purse of the Wadsworth from $50K to $100K to attract Funny Cide.

Should be quite a bottleneck on the Thruway.

If it wasn't a Wednesday I'd make a weekend trip out of it. Hit up some wineries and Letchworth and see the legendary Finger Lakes Race Track.

All those glorious trips to Rochester to see the Grateful Dead and I never made it to Finger Lakes. If Jerry Garcia hadn't died I might never have gotten my life in order.

Silver Stadium, 1987. First concert of my life.

I still haven't recovered.

Don't bother. Get drunk at the wineries instead.

Ever heard the song "Gate Crashers Suck" by Keller Williams.

Great song about Deer Creek and the Dead...

I have a few bottles of stale vinegar that taste like most NY wines if you want to take them off my hands?

Such a great climate and earth for grapes yet I have yet to see a vineyard in NY produce a good wine. Its too bad.

Letchworth is beautiful.

I love Letchworth! Those guest books dating back to the 1950's on the third floor of the hotel are a hoot.

Definitely one of the hidden gems of upstate NY. I know it sounds silly but I saw Letchworth after the Grand Canyon and found Letchworth to be more impressive.

I don't even know who Keller Williams is.

Deer Creek was a pretty unfortunate incident.

No, not at all.

I have tried, tried and tried NY wines, and have yet to find one that is at best good.

I may be a wine snob, but it AMAZES me that with the climate and the ground in the NY wine country, these places can't produce something great!

Trust me, I want NY wines to be good, I just have been wicked dissappointed.

If you have a list you like, I would be more then willing to try the ones I haven't. I am dying to find a good one! I want to be proven wrong on this.
