I'm still new to handicapping and have a lot to learn, but what was he doing on that 1? He had him in a good spot on the rail and coming around the turn for home he dropped the horse back, then re-rallied on the outside. ?????

At the Mountain its pretty normal to want to rally wide, instead of up the rail.

For most of the first 5 months the rail has been death at the Mountain. You will almost always see the leader turning for home in the 4 or 5 path.

Thats because the leader is usually Stokes and hes scared to death to be between horses, or with in 10 feet of the rail
