Couldn't agree with you more Mr. S.

I believe that the NTRA is a huge advertising black hole. The only people that are benefiting are the board members and the advertising companies that they hire to "create" the wonderful ad campaigns. In fact the campaigns are so memorable and effective that the only one I can think of is "Go Baby - Go!" How many Million$ was spent to come up with that. I shudder to think of what all that money could have been spent on for animal safety research, better and more accurate drug testing and enforcement etc, things that the game really needs.

Has the NTRA really provided any benefit to racing since their creation?

OK I'll get off the soap box now, however I reserve the right to climb back on it at at a later date.

Yea I'll say. I just looked at the 990 (which is public information) for NTRA charities and saw how much compensation three directors of the NTRA Charities received from NTRA last year or the year before.

How do I get a gig like that?

So, how much DO they get? Heaven's knows it's money down the drain...nice comfy, do nothing job for someone's buddies I guess...not that it should be, but if lack of NTRA leadership and programs is any sign, looks like they take long lunches and leave early for golf (doubt they frequent the ghost town tracks much, outside of a few stakes a year...)

Actually not that bad. I have an index of 13.6. I guess I'm just not playing at the right courses.
