Default Grancentral Pkwy.

for those of you who watched Serling's show last weekend.. one of his horses to watch is entered tomorrow. Grancentral Pkwy. is set to go in the 8th at Aqueduct and is 20/1 on the ML.

Andy, how do you like him in this spot? I know you mentioned that he needs a one turn race to run his best and this is a one turn flat mile.

thanks

It's a pretty tough spot with the Frankel horse and the Centennial horse but he drew well. I've been out of town and will get back to you when I have had a chance to do some more work on the card.

I am no Andy Serling, except for the hairline. However, I did make Cowtown Cat my Best Bet for Sat. GCPW landed in the toughest N1X of the year @ AQ.

Very tough spot here for GCP. 3rd off the layoff and 1 turn mile will help , but the fig has to improve alot to beat these. Works have been quite good. Like to hear Andy's take.

I love that Vitruvius. Kent Desormeaux up for Jimmy the Jerk in his only mount on the card..

Obviously Vitruvius and In the Woods are both very dangerous, but I will take my chances with Grancentral Pkwy. against the rest of the field. Second to either one, or third to both, will be fine. I will make a modest win bet but it may be asking too much. He should get a good trip from his advantageous post.

I'm an idiot. I played Vitruvius to win and then played him underneath In the Woods and Bond Fire in exactas, but didn't play Vitruvius over the two others in exotics. Comes in Vitruvius/Bond Fire/In the Woods with Bond Fire checking in at 26-1. Should've nailed that triple. ****.

I see GCP is entered back at AQU on Wed (4/18). 6 Days rest, adding blinkers and entered for $35K Tag at 1 1/16M on the Grass.

Andy - Thoughts on this spot?

Thanks

I was confused when I saw your post as I hadn't noticed him entered....then I realized I didn't print the pps for the two " turf " races as they will obviously be off. I will wait for the scratches and let you know. He was pretty bad last time, but maybe he got drained on the fast pace, that did collapse, and I am sure this will be a more reasonable spot....assuming he goes.

Thanks.

Seems like it could be a good spot on the dirt if he goes, any moisture souldn't hurt either. Maybe he really was not used once he started backing up last time.

I also see Eddie Martin is swapped out for Morales, not sure if there is any significance to that. I will stay tuned...

He's supposed to win today....period. I suppose Wally World, who has been repeatedly against the track, and Pulpiteer are the competition but if Grancentralpkwy is any kind of horse he should be very tough to beat in this spot.

Entered back on Sod today with $35K tag. I thought Pulpiteer ran a nice one last time.

Worth giving GCP another chance today?

new surface but he will be completely lone speed in a pretty weak field at a price, not a horrible play...of course it can be debated if he still has all 4 legs.

I didn't realize lone speed was a great turf angle.

in turf sprints i handicap them like dirt, i hope he goes 22 and 44 and change while loose on the lead....loose is the key in a sprint
