Yes, he worked in them last time and Tagg says he's just doing it to try something "different". I guess he won with Nobiz wearing them so going for it with this one. Strangely, the 8 yr old Perfect Drift wore them for the first time ever his last race as well.

I am pretty sure that it wasn't Perfect Drift's first time with blinkers. I think I remember hearing that it was his first time wit blinkers since the 2002 Indiana Derby.
That is still a long time ago.....but he had won with blinkers before.

I didn't know that, I know as a 3 yr old he didn't wear them in the TC races he ran in (Derby,Belmont Stakes) and didn't in the BC that year either. I find it odd that they would put them on and he won the In Derby with them...then take them off for the BC.

This seems like a reasonable spot for him at this point in his career.
