![]() Hello to all Byk and Hooves disciples from rainy Keeneland Race Course. Flew into town Friday Am and was met by BillW and met up with Grits and Cannon Shell's friend Max. Also making guest appearance was trainer Reid McLellan from the North American Racing Academy (Chris Mccarrons place) and David Fiske who is the farm manger of Winchell Thoroughbreds (Zanjero-Asmans horse in the Toyota Bluegrass today). Great discussions all day. No we did not do the burgoo but I'm gonna try it today.
Got up at 5 am for morning works today. Met Gary Stevens at workouts in the clockers area along with some of the regular NY clockers that migrate south here for this meet and Churchill. We're expecting rain all day here...but WHO CARES? Good friends, great food and drinks, and HOOVES selections. It doesn't get any better than this!!! 3 days here is too short. My first time here and the facility just blows you away. From the great hospitality of all the staff here to the spectacular facility and views, this place is unmatched. Went to horsemans relations and got credentials for myself and other DT'ers for the weekend for admission and parking. It came in handy as its pouring right now and we parked 3 spaces from the front door of the clubhouse. Yesterday was fun as my futility continues as not being able to handicap this polytrack. Finally threw all my sheets away and ALL HAIL HOOVES...as I just played his selections. Thanks Hooves for making it a great day. I owe ya drinks at Saratoga when we hook up. Dinner at Malones was sensational. Compares with any of the best I've been to. Grits, Bill, Max, Reid and his wife and myself. Cannon...we brought ya a doggie bag.
