Cool Dubai World Cup selections...

Inquiring Minds Want To Know...

Godolphin Mile - SPRING AT LAST / BOSTON LODGE / PAROLE BOARD
UAE Derby - ASIATIC BOY / FOLK / EU TAMBEM (Longshot: JACK JUNIOR)
Golden Shaheen -
TERRIFIC CHALLENGE / NATIONAL COLOUR / FRIENDLY ISLAND
Sheema Classic - QUIJANO / HONEY RYDER / RED ROCKS
Dubai Duty Free
MYSTICAL / ENGLISH CHANNEL / LAVA MAN (Longshot: FORMAL DECREE)
Dubai World Cup - DISCREET CAT / INVASOR / PREMIUM TAP

The Dubai Duty Free & Golden Shaheen are the best by far of the betting races...
other than QUIJANO in the Sheema Classic, don't have a real other opinion in that race.
JACK JUNIOR could be a "bomber" in the Derby.
Both SPRING AT LAST & TERRIFIC CHALLENGE have done me well this winter!
But, most of all...I would like to see DISCREET CAT continue his undefeated streak...saw him break his maiden on the Travers undercard at the Spa two years ago...pick him that day...cheering him on Saturday morning!!!

Here are my longshot plays. By nature I try to play longshots, bombs, value picks. With that being said, I'm staying away from the World Cup all together. Some (if not all) of these picks might make me look like I'm on crack. But y'all gotta understand something. All I gotta do is hit 1, and I'll be wayyyyy ahead lol.

Godolphin Mile:
I'm doing $1 exacta box and trifecta box with 3 closers:
1 Impossible Ski, 2 Gold for Sale, and 16 Parole Board.
I'm also doing $10W-P on Parole Board

UAE Derby:
Asiatic Boy looks really strong, so I'm gonna try and beat him with the #5 Victory Testsumi. Yes Tetsumi just lost to Asiatic Boy by 7 lengths last out, but I'm hoping there might be enough pace pressure to even things out here. $5 W-P on the 5 Victory Tetsumi

Golden Shaheen:
This is my stab of the day. This looks to be a very wide-open event. I'm gonna bet $20 W-P on the #11 Bounty Quest. He has tons of experience at this distance and at this track. And has ran competitively with most of this field. He is also used to carrying a high weight.

Sheema:
This is a complete shot in the dark. There are some REALLY good horses in here. With that bein said, I'm gonna bet $5 W-P on the #9 Sushisan.

Dubai Duty Free
I'm gonna do $1 exacta and trifecta boxes with the 1 Seihali, 2 Best Name, and 14 Formal Decree. I'm also gonna make a W-P bet on the #14 Formal Decree. If I can get 10-1 on him, I'm gonna pound him hard at the windows.

Good luck to all who get up early and play these races tomorrow. Hopefully we'll have enough cash by the time Philly's 1st races goes tomorrow lol (it's usually the first to run everyday).

Default POINTGIVEN please .......

Okay I've been watching this long enough.......

Folks this kid is really sick!!!!

The best thing to do from a therapeutic viewpoint is not to react when he says these outrageous things. This is one of the best discussion forums on (DT) on the internet.....this young man has been ruining the give and take on every thread that involves betting he is in. We would all just be better off if we didn't feed his illness. The number of statements about "getting crushed" and being down is very concerning or ........not truthful at all!!!!

Why don't we all just do the humane thing and ignore his extreme posts.....

And yes "HOOVES".......he is on some level actually crazed...

I don't follow you at all. The horse he's betting is even money. It's not as if he is the only person in the world betting this horse. How has he ruined this thread?

its folks like you that makes me wish i could book bets. you took 1-1 on a horse thats never been 1 1/4, missed the prep and ran against inferior comp. in the USA. I saw this coming weeks ago. that horse has a hole in him bigger than the one in your pocket now. read horses form not what the idiot public handcappers write. that exacta was like money in the bank! its never how easy a horse wins against lesser horses, its who beats the best and runs with the best. sure invasor could of spent last year beating accountforthegold and valid notebook by 10 instead he was winning the BC CLASSIC by 2.

Your comment is insulting and foolish sounding. I assume you have never been wrong on a 6/5 shot before? Congrats on your posted Exacta. OThers here posted the same. I don't know how or why you get off calling people idioits for liking Discreet Cat. Unless of course you claim and show that you either bet him in his six straight prior wins or keyed/singled him based on the inferior competition he was facing. And no doubt, given the tone of your comment, you had him figured as the 7th best horse in the race yesterday.

And the exacta being money in the bank? It's folks like YOU who make the game possible to beat in my opinion. You may have beat this race thinking you got back better than a bank will pay you. Then again, the bank doesn't make you run around the block for it.

You had an opinion and wound up right. Someone else's opinion was wrong. Too bad your win wasn't good enough for you. I guess you're a fortunate person since you can feel justified calling someone an idiot for being wrong about an even money shot while you pocket a $13 Exacta. i hope it carried you through the day.

And by the way, if you are so confident about the bookmaking business, get yourself a Betfair account where you can 'book' action like you say you wish you could.

You'll find all you can eat there.

Pointgiven,

Here are the reasons DC was a bad bet

Off a layoff
In bad hands
Distance in question
Even money
No American vetting going on
Champion in the field at the same price

Those are six reasons you dont unload on that horse, six very good reasons. We all learn from our mistake, hopefully next time you see a lightly raced, carefully campaigned horse, against a proven champion, you go the other way.
